Created by Marshall Fredericks and cast in Oslo, Norway, the bronze Spirit of Detroit statue graces the front of the Detroit's Coleman A. Young City County Building at the foot of Woodward Avenue. The Spirit of Detroit inspires many who live in the city and region. This downtown landmark measures 26 foot tall and was installed in 1958.
