Belle Isle Peace Tower

The Peace Tower is the 85-foot high Nancy Brown Peace Carillon Tower that sits at the eastern end of Detroit's Belle Isle Park. The Tower was 'Dedicated to Peace in Honor of Nancy Brown' in 1940. Nancy Brown was one of the first advice columnists in the United States, having launched her advice column 'Experience' in Detroit in April 1919. She worked as a columnist and journalist for The Detroit News until her retirement in 1942. A white swan is poised in front of Peace Tower as the melting snow foretells of the coming of spring on Belle Isle. Size: 5"x7" photo in an 8"X10" matt and signed by the artist.
