Book Cadillac

Developed by the Book brothers and designed by architect Louis Kamper, the 32-story Book Cadillac Hotel was completed in 1924, and at the time, was the tallest hotel in the world. The Italian Renaissance style hotel opened with 1138 guest rooms with the first five floors being retail space and grand public rooms. It is currently undergoing renovation and is scheduled to reopen as the Westin Book Cadillac in 2008.
