The historic Bob-Lo Boat Ste. Claire, at the dock at the foot of Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit. The Ste. Claire was launched in 1910 and continued to run until it was retired in 1991. Along with her sister ship, the Columbia, took many excursions up and down the Detroit River bringing thousands of Detroiters to the Bob-Lo Island amusement park, in the middle of the Detroit River. The Bob-Lo boats are now gone and Bob-Lo Island is a private development. This historic Detroit Bob Lo Boat Dock print represents a wonderful era in the history of Detroit. |
