J Dilla Fans, Stones Throw Get Creative

Few labels keep it together like Stones Throw. Their roster boasts acts like Dam-Funk, Madlib, Guilty Simpson and Mayer Hawthorne.

Another Detroit-based band is heating up nationally. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. — the poorly named group made up of Daniel Zott (the Great Fiction) and Josh Epstein (Silent Years) — is currently in the middle of a national tour, signed to Warner Bros. a few months back and just released their major label debut, "It's A Corporate World."
